Therapy for Millennial Women

When we are socialized as women, we internalize so much. Thoughts and beliefs about perfectionism, self-worth, our bodies, and politeness (I could go on...) can take a lifetime to unlearn! Add to that the particularly tough circumstances we’ve lived through as millennials, and it’s no wonder we feel tired —

all the damn time.

The truth is, we have got to pour into our own cup before we can pour into others. My approach to therapy for millennial women is to build your capacity for self-compassion and slow things down so you can notice what’s really going on inside of you.

With support, you can start to truly know yourself and all your many layers to more authentically enjoy your life.

Areas of Expertise

Anxiety & Depression

Almost all of us have experienced the feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, or just not good enough. But when these feelings are persistent, they can be an indication of depression or anxiety. And you definitely don’t have to go through it alone. Pick up the skills and tools you need to enjoy your life more fully.

Body Image

Our generation grew up around completely unrealistic images of what women “should” look like. When we haven’t addressed that, we might find the experience of a changing body to be extra challenging. Finding freedom from those negative self-beliefs and healing your relationship with your body can be a tremendous act of kindness.

Millennial Issues

We’re a generation willing to break patterns and change cycles. But our collective experience as millennials hasn’t always been easy. Let’s address how the world we came up in may be impacting your mental health and create a plan to help you thrive.

Women’s Issues

Women often feel the pressure to “have it all.” But it turns out that’s just a really good way to feel overwhelmed, completely tired, and still inadequate. Trying to find the right balance? Self-exploration and challenging negative patterns allow you to create a path that truly serves you.

Still have questions?

You can think of therapy as a [super worthwhile!] investment in you. But even if you believe it’s going to be worth it, any investment takes some consideration.
