Hey! I’m Allison, and I work with millennial women, mothers, and couples who don’t always have their sh*t together.

Was anyone else raised thinking they’d hit a certain age and magically have things “all figured out?” For most millennials, that age tends to be, well… right around now.

But let me just say the folks I work with have a very different story to tell. It’s natural to want certainty. But if you ask me, leaning into the uncertainty and appreciating life anyway is what having things “all figured out” really looks like.

About Allison Doyle, LICSW, PMH-C

Glad you’re here! As a millennial myself, the basis of my work is not just clinical – it’s the shared perspective and lived experiences that have completely shaped our generation. If you’re a millennial looking for support as you navigate perinatal mental health, women’s issues, or body image, that’s where I can help.

Too many people suffer alone when they really don’t have to. I believe everyone – regardless of identity or expression – has the capacity to heal and change. Access to non-judgmental, affirming care can be the thing that helps you get there.

I first became a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington (#LW61136321) and certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist because I deeply believe everyone has the capacity to heal and change. I called Texas home before moving to Seattle, working in various mental health, trauma, and crisis facilities. If you’re looking for more details on my education, qualifications, or theoretical approach, I promise – you’ll find it all below!

When I'm not in my "therapist chair" you'll find me…

Spending time with my dogs – Tater Tot & Andouille – or the humans I love most.

Savoring all the foods that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Anyone else way too into Beecher’s Mac & Cheese?

Outside! Most often on a trail or at a campsite enjoying the scenery of the Pacific Northwest.

Listening to Death Cab for Cutie or watching The Golden Girls, 30 Rock, or RuPaul’s Drag Race.

What's Person-Centered Therapy?

What's Person-Centered Therapy?

The most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one you have with yourself. Person-centered therapy acknowledges that you are the expert in you. Period.

With this approach, you’ll get a space for safe processing and non-judgmental listening. You get to take the lead on what needs repair with the ultimate goal of self-discovery (that doesn’t mean I sit back asking, “How does that make you feel?” by the way).

But this method is effective because of trust and comfort with your therapist. So, I’ll level with you – I’m not the kind of therapist who meditates all day, and I don’t expect you to either. I believe in sharing memes and video games as a coping skill.

If any of this resonates with you and you’re looking for a therapist in Kirkland or the greater Seattle area, book a consultation to explore some of the ways we can work together.
