Allison Doyle

LICSW, PMH-C

Allison is your group facilitator, local therapist, and perinatal mental health specialist. Allison believes the natural beauty of the PNW can help reduce stress and treat mental health issues during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Allison loves the PNW and spends as much time outside as she can during the summer months.

  • This is group is for women who and new moms 6 months to 2 years postpartum who are looking to process the transition to motherhood, connect with other new moms, learn new skills to manage stress, and spend more time getting to know themselves.

  • This group will be outside at 4 different parks in the Seattle area. All will be approximately 15 miles from Seattle city center. Potential options so far are: Discovery Park (Seattle), Golden Gardens (Seattle), Marymoor Park (Redmond), and Confluence Park (Issaquah).

  • The group will take place June-September on the second Wednesday of each month from 11am - 12:30 PST. The dates are 6/12, 7/10, 8/14, and 9/11.

  • Great question! This group is intended to introduce you to the practice of mindfulness in nature, learn mindfulness skills that will help reduce stress in the transition to motherhood, process feelings associated with your new identity as a mother, and connect with other new moms.

    The group requires walking, touching natural elements, carrying small items, sharing in the group (if you wish), and writing.

  • This group is intended for you to connect with the natural world and focus on your mindfulness skills. While we all would love to see your little one(s), please plan for childcare during the group.

  • Yes! Feel free to bring your pump and any other supplies that may be needed. It is important to note that we will be walking/moving during the group so plan accordingly.

  • Please plan to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes as we will be walking and moving.

    Other items that may be helpful: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a snack, water bottle, and blanket or towel to sit on. If sitting on the ground is uncomfortable or difficult for you, please bring a folding chair to make yourself more comfortable.

  • The group cost is $250 for all 4 sessions. Sessions are not sold individually. It is recommended to attend all 4 sessions for the greatest benefit to your mental health and skill development.
