Can You Relate?

Can You Relate?

"I feel so overwhelmed. I can't sleep, I feel so on edge. It's like the whole world is collapsing in on me."

"I'm so tired all the time. I don't want to do anything and getting out of bed to face a new day feels impossible."

"Ugh, nothing looks good on me. How could anyone think I am attractive when I look like this?"

"There's never enough time in the day. I can't be everything to everyone all the time!"

Have You Said This About Your Relationship?

"There isn't a spark anymore. The butterflies that we had when we first started dating are gone."

"We're not sure if we want to have kids. What if we have kids and are terrible parents?"

"They never make time for me or our family. They stay at the office late, miss important events, it's like we don't matter to them."

"I feel like we speak two different languages. We just don't understand each other anymore."

My approach to therapy for the PNW

Many of us choose to live in the PNW for a lot of wonderful reasons: nature, tech jobs, family, the uniqueness of the region, etc. The list could go on and on, but that doesn't mean everything is sunshine (certainly not!) and roses.

Being a therapist in Seattle is means understanding the unique challenges this community faces. Seasonal mood struggles are a part of our lives for 6+ months of the year. The "Seattle Freeze" can make it especially difficult to find connection and companionship. Tech and innovation dominate the corporate landscape, but can create unrealistic work expectations and problems at home. A culture focused on health and activity, but you don't fit feel like you fit the mold. These issues give us some context for our lived experience in this place.

I believe that only YOU can be the expert in YOU. Therapy is a partnership and I would be honored to be a part of it.
